**HACKNEY NEW MEDIA NETWORKING AFTERNOON**
When: Tuesday 30th January, 2-6pm
Where: Space Media Arts, 129-131 Mare Street, London E8 3RH

Do you live or work in Hackney?
Do you work with new media, web, creative technology, computers, electronics or related fields?
Be inspired by your neighbours in the borough!

[ space.media.arts ] in partnership with Hackney Council invite you to a networking session for a diverse range of creative practitioners, including artists, community media groups, SMEs and larger companies, working in new and creative media in Hackney. Promote yourself and what you do, find out what others are working on and develop links between your projects and organisations.

You are invited to:

- Watch a series of short, dynamic presentations forming an overview of creative and new media activity in Hackney, with confirmed speakers including Shoreditch Digital Bridge, Soda Creative, artists The People Speak and Melissa Bliss, Lateral and more. (A limited number of presentations slots are left -- contact us if you would like to present your work)
- Bring printed materials and laptops (WIFI provided) to informally show-and-tell between sessions.
- Enjoy drinks and light refreshments, with time to network with other creative attendees.

This event will launch a New Media Cluster in Hackney, with a facilitated discussion inviting participants to have a stake in the development of the cluster and its seed funding.

Weekly meetings planned

Hi there!

To everyone that happens upon this tribal space.

Wanted to share with everyone that is and isn't here that we will be holding a space every week in The Hub, in Angel Islington, for the Calendar movement.

We are looking at ways of learning more about a 13 moon, 28 day month, 7 day week calendar, and will use the weekly gatherings to educate ourselves, create materials from which we can learn from, and teach others with. We can also focus on specific themes as the weeks progress.

Everyone is welcome to attend... just turn up! First gathering planned for the Red Rhythmic Dragon, Kin 201, Day 7 of the Galactic Moon of Integrity, in the year of the Blue Crystal Storm, commonly known as Gregorian 13th Feb 2004. At GMT 6pm.
